Ground Search and Rescue Training

All units are invited to attend! See below for more information and to sign-up.
This GSAR is your introduction into Emergency Services, which will cover the tasks required for certification as an Urban Direction Finding Team (UDFT). UDFT also includes many of the same tasks to get certified as a Ground Team Member (GTM). Training will cover precautions and treatment of hot and cold weather injuries, basic radio procedures, compass use, ground and vehicle direction-finding and line-search techniques. There will also be plenty of time to have fun, enjoy the outdoors and meet new CAP friends from around the wing! And don’t forget to bring your squadron guidons for a special activity.

- Cost: $20 (This includes five meals for Friday through Sunday; everyone must bring their own lunch to eat in the field Saturday.)
