If you are a Civil Air Patrol cadet and assigned as a squadron staff member, then the Cadet Leadership School is for you! It will prepare you to become a more effective leader and teach you how to manage a successful cadet program run by cadets. The deadline to submit your name is fast approaching...
When: Sept. 6-7
Times: Saturday 0800-1600 and Sunday 0800-1430
Location: Wing Headquarters, Bolling AFB, D.C. (click menu item on left for directions)
Uniform: Short sleeve blues
Who: Cadets grades staff sergeant through lieutenant colonel (airmen may apply if assigned to a staff position)
What: Topics will include roles and responsibilities of staff, chain of command, organization of CAP, leadership tools and links, flight and squadron drill practice, teaching techniques, wear of the uniform, squadron operating policies, etc.
Apply: Send your name and current staff position via e-mail to cp@natcapwg.cap.gov (don't forget to cc your squadron commander)
Staff: Officers with at least a technician rating in Cadet Programs or cadet officers who have attended COS or RCLS may apply for an instructor position (e-mail cp@natcapwg.cap.gov with a short resume)
